3. Why do I need this?
At the end of the day, all musicians looking to launch an album require the same needs; a CD cover (and booklet), photos for publicity & press (as well as CD cover/booklet itself), a website and web profiles to popular social networking websites for maximum exposure on the internet such as; MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.
4. Tell me more about the CD Sleeve Design...
We'll design you stunning album artwork, which includes a 2 page/4 sides inside booklet, CD cover, back and disc. We can either use hi-res images supplied by you or the photography you'll take with us. Please feel free to check out our graphic design portfolio for examples of previous work.
Please note: The CD Sleeve Design excludes the actual printing. This is strictly design only as Manic Creations does not offer printing solutions in-house. However we can refer you to printers.
5. Tell me more about the Photoshoot...
A photoshoot of about 60 pics will be taken of you by our professional photographer. 10 of those images will be prepped and professionally touched up in Photoshop for that extra touch. All the pics taken that day will be put on a disc for you.
Please note that photoshoots are only available to Durban based customers. Manic Creations is a Durban based company.
6. Tell me more about the Website...
Internet presence for any musician in this day and age is essential. We at Manic Creations understand this better than anybody.
A beautiful 5 page website will be created to include the basics like a home page, Biography, Photo Gallery, News section, a self-updatable Blog (optional), Contact Page and links to your MySpace, YouTube and Facebook Group. Optional extras include a Blog, Audio Player and Contact Form.
A domain name and web hosting is not included in this Musician Starter Package, but we do however offer it. The domain name (eg. www.this-is-my-awesome-website.co.za) registration is a once-off only fee and will cost you R149.
Please note that the website we create for you does not have to be hosted with us and can be hosted with any other web hosting company. Our web hosting starts from R49pm (this includes 25MB Disk space, 250MB monthly traffic, local hosting, web stats & reports, 1 email address). Please contact us for further hosting information.
7. Tell me more about the MySpace Page...
These days, an artist MySpace page is just as important as a website. It comes in handy when trying to easily promote yourself with other MySpace users and South African artists. We will design you a first-class MySpace page, complete with any of your music that you would like to share with the world.
Some of our designed MySpace pages include artists like; Flash Republic, Jae and Helene Rask.
8. Tell me more about the YouTube Page...
Once you start making music videos or have interviews, you can upload them to YouTube for the world to see. Like MySpace, YouTube offers even more ways to connect with fans and an audience. A YouTube channel is almost mandatory when it comes to connecting with today's youth and your target market. We will design you an awesome YouTube page that you will be proud to share.
9. Tell me more about the Facebook Group...
We'll create a dedicated group on Facebook that will not only give you another way to connect to fans, but also quickly inform them of your upcoming events and important news regarding your ever growing music career.
10. So, what's the price?
The Musician Starter Package would easily cost you over and above R15 000 anywhere else, but with us, it will cost you only R8000.
This includes all the above mentioned points (but excludes the monthly website hosting and once-off domain name registration mentioned in point 6 above).
11. How long does it all take?
The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can begin, the sooner we can obviously complete your Musician Starter Package. Roughly a Musician Starter Package will take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks to complete.
The first thing we like to start with is the photoshoot. This helps us understand the direction of the look you're going after. After that, the rest of the Musician Starter Package goes into full development swing.

We'll send you a confirmation email containing the above mentioned price with payment details so that work can begin. Manic Creations has a 50% upfront policy which requires you to pay 50% first and 50% later, when the work is complete.
